My Favorite Money Saving Apps

We started getting the Sunday paper a few years ago and I started clipping a few coupons. It was exciting when I found a coupon for an item I needed and I loved the idea of saving some money. So I started looking for other ways to save! These are my favorite money saving apps!

Ibotta-This is an app that gives cash back for items you purchase. This can be food, restaurants, retail, and even the liquor store. You mark the deals you want in the app and upload the receipt-within 24 hours money is added you your app. You can cash out at $20+. This can be in the form of a gift card or added to your PayPal. I like to wait until I have some money built up and then cash it out. Since May, I have received $150+  cash back. Here is the referral link https://ibotta.com/r/cioqddo

Cartwheel-This is an app that is exclusive to Target. I grocery shop at Target so it works out well for me. You can receive discounts from 5%-50% on items. The deals change weekly so I check before every trip. Most of the time I pick my discounts before I head to Target and just scan at checkout. You can also scan the items in your cart and add them that way. They also give 10 points per $1.00 you spend. Once you hit 5000 points you can pick from a list of free perks. The perks have included free bacon & eggs, toys, pajamas, candy, sunglasses, makeup, bedding, and more! I love the perks on this app-who doesn’t love freebies?

Ebates-I started using this during the holidays when I was doing a ton of online shopping. You got to the Ebates website first and let it take you to the shopping website you want. Then you get cash back in the form of a check each quarter. I have gotten 2 checks so far totaling $62. Here is the Ebates referral link https://www.ebates.com/r/BAILEY7524?eeid=28187.

Coupons-This isn’t app but I use coupons regularly too. As I said, I get most of these from the Sunday paper. But, you can search online and print coupons from your computer. Don’t get too caught up in this though. Sometimes store brands are cheaper than the name brand with a coupon. Just keep an eye on prices.

This is about the extent of what I can keep up with. I was so surprised with how much I could save with just a small amount of effort. All of these are apps on my phone so it makes it easy to do. Enjoy saving!

Disclaimer: I have no idea how these apps use your receipt/shopping information.
